While this measure is objectively better than what we currently have, marijuana should be completely decriminalized, without any qualification. There's absolutely no reason why its use or distribution should be penalized in the first place.

Thanks so much. After 2.5 hrs with Bell and another 2 hours with apple, this was the solution.

I contact apple the following day and mentioned this article. I sent it to the tech and he walked me through it. Worked like a charm.

Struggled for days to figure this out and was ready to send the airport express back and say forget it!!!

Can I use Airport Express to extend the range of my existing network, which using an 2Wire/AT&T combo? If so, do you have a similar tutorial?

hey david,

all seems to be working fine, until we get to the last step.

i put in the manual settings to join the network. it starts to restart, but then does not come back to green... just blinking yellow.

it seems like the settings are in there, but then not coming back to green. any suggestions?

JoJo,

You have two options. You can either A) Call AT&T and ask them not to block Port 25 or B) Change the port number in your Mail settings. I currently use 25, 465 and 587. To change your port number in Mail, select MAIL>PREFERENCES>Select ACCOUNTS tab and Choose one of your email accounts, then select OUTGOING MAIL SERVER then EDIT SMTP SETTINGS>then Advanced and select DEFAULT Ports.

I hope this helps. Your easiest solution is to ask AT&T to unblock that port number for you. If they are hesitant because of security reasons then request an alternative port number that is compatible with their network.

Hello Dave,
I read this blog last week and got my AE running with my Uverse 2WIRE with no problems but now I'm having problems with outgoing emails from my mobileme account at home. I'm sure it's directly related to what I did because I just started getting this error message. I'm not sure what it is that's wrong though. I'm getting an error message saying that my port 25 has timed out? Not too savvy with this kind of stuff so I didn't poke around much out of fear of screwing something else up. Anyone else run into this? I'm hoping it's an easy fix. Awesome directions by the way!

I saw it is time students stood up to our congress and raised hell. I am working on my Master's in Social Work and I can tell you this I will graduate with a total of about 98 grand in loans to work a job making 35 grand a year. Why would I do this? Because I need that degree to help people and I want to help others. So now I have to pay even more to do that. Screw You congress. Let see how America responds when Dr. and Lawyers and Therapists are harder to come by.

@jeyjey It's not that they don't know, it's just that some are either afraid to say or some are like, "Well sure the situation is tough, but its got nothing to do with me and really, I think some people exaggerate, I'm sure it's not that bad." In other words some just don't care as long as they are protected from all of that.

Also since a large deal of the population are also farmers and usually earn very little, it's sometimes hard for them to make ends meet. The majority of their lives have been spent working out in the sun all day and are just content to earn at least a little bit to be able to feed their families. They might give what's going on some thought, but again, their first priority is to try to make sure their families survive through the hard times.

What Los Tigres Del Norte have done is try to make the people aware of what is going on and at least convince them to unite and try take action as is described by, "amidst all the farmers we have to tie her down."

The gov. obviously wants the majority to keep on staying ignorant so that they don't pose a threat to the major wealth that the ones in charge are gaining through corruption. If the people stay ignorant and are not encouraged to take action, then those meager few who do try to speak out and unite the people wont have much luck and therefore the way things are run will stay the same. By banning the song, the risks opposition against the system are greatly lowered.

The following set up also works: set the 2Wire for WPA & WPA2 (note it runs each of these in a different encoding, and that is the rub), but set up the AE in WPA Personal. That also works, and has the advantage that the 2Wire can work with WPA2 where necessary.

I was having the same problem and didn't pick up that there needed to be 2 ethernet cords. Yet that didn't solve my problem either as the AE wouldn't be able to connect after the restart.

I'm not sure if it was because I have an older AE, but it wouldn't work with WPA/WPA2 or with WPA2... but, FINALLY, it worked with WPA.

That might help some people who were having trouble after the restart of the AE.

Hi David,
Everything works fantastic withe the AE, but my old PowerMac G4 Titanium does not support WPA2. So I tried setting up the 2Wire to WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK, with the result that the AE did not work again.
Do you have a solution on how I can get both my 15" Titanium and my AE to work with at&t 2 Wire?
