Annise Parker's first campaign hire, James Cardona, her finance director, is Hispanic. Her campaign chair, Gilbert Garcia, is Hispanic.

David, On March 21, 2009, when Gene was first announcing he was going to run he was backed by Hispanic elected officials, Latino Leadership, Hispanic Precinct Judges, and Hispanic community leaders. One of the first hires he made was Jose Soto as Political Director. There is also Jacob Monty, a well known Latino lawyer as the Campaign Treasurer. Plus, myself doing social media. Beyond Hispanics, I believe Gene has one of the most diverse campaign teams.
